tempusfugit is a very simple countdown timer written in Python with a GTK+ interface. It is similar to Timer Applet, but with (IMHO) a much simpler interface, and more important, it is not an applet, it is a standalone application so it doesn't depend on the desktop you use.
If available, tempusfugit will make use of D-Bus and libnotify, to optimize resource usage and to give additional timer-expiration notifications in the desktop, respectively. Please note that they are not really dependencies: tempusfugit will work without them if they are not installed!
It speaks many languages: Catalan, English, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish. It's the first time I write a multilingual application, so please be kind!
